Angel Underwriting

Angel is a new, innovative and fresh approach to EPL, Directors & Officers and Public Liability Insurance. To complement this approach a completely computerised underwriting and document management system was needed.

We developed an innovative application delivered via a web server, to both in-house and external users. Many systems already cope with the back-office work of underwriting, but few capture the whole process electronically from application, rating, document production, accounting and agent management. As the whole process is encapsulated in a single system and tightly controlled proving compliance is a given.

Booker Ltd

Booker is one of the largest food distribution companies in Europe. They have many thousands of customers with different types of EPOS (Electronic Point of Sales) systems.

These customers need to receive prices and send orders. We developed a system to meet these needs, whatever the technology being used. The system deals with several thousand transactions each week both instigating and receiving calls. The range of systems interconnected is vast; price lists come from an IBM Mainframe, orders go to Unix boxes, customers have terminals ranging from a handheld Z80 with 8K of RAM, through PCs to Unix boxes.

Whatever the customer technology, however old it works!

Arthur J Gallagher Housing

One of the UK’s leading providers of risk and insurance services to the Social Housing sector, we deliver comprehensive, cost-effective risk and insurance solutions.

Receiving information from customers in a hard copy format was a cause of frustration at AJG Housing. Cross platform sharing of data was the answer. Using internet technology we built a secure bridge, allowing remote users to directly access the AJG Housing computer system from any internet capable computer. This not only allowed direct entry of claim details but in many cases instant on-line authorisation and real time monitoring of the claims progress.

From the initial specific problem solving solution, the claims system developed for AJG Housing has grown over the years. It now provides a host of time saving functionality as a powerful report engine and management statistical analysis tool. Working closely together we continue to enhance and improve the system, including making custom reporting functions available to their clients via the internet, adding value and increasing customer benefits.

Goddard Vet Group - Zeus

The Goddard Veterinary Group is dedicated to providing a high quality service & compassionate health care for you and your pet.
For 60 years they have been providing healthcare for animals from their practices across Greater London, which include over 40 surgeries, 3 hospitals, a hydrotherapy unit and boarding kennels.

We have developed an innovative state of the art practice management system that covers all aspects of running a group business, everything is handled in one system, appointment booking, all case information, xrays, diagnostic results, pricing and on screen key performance Indicators allow each branch to perform to their very best whilst consolidating information and control for head office and supporting ‘what if’ scenarios.

What happens when your veterinary practice isn't just a man and a dog ?

Some veterinary practices are very small a single or couple of locations others are large perhaps 50 locations with multiple hospitals and specialist referral centres within a group, yet many of the individual branches are still relatively small. The problem is very little practice management software is written with this scale of operation in mind, a common solution is just to deploy multiple copies of the standard software with perhaps some networking, requiring management to log into each location individually. J C Designs solution is a software system designed for groups from the ground up, centralised price lists with individual location variations,  group wide data replication (but only to where it is needed) transparent transferral of data between home branch and referral centre and much more.

An environment of this size needs not just innovative software but a network and hardware architecture capable of supporting so many locations, this project truly represents what can be achieved by having skilled programmers and talented network designers working together.
